I agree about the absurdity, but I'm not sure there will be a neat narrative arc back to normalcy. Every time I read "someday we'll wonder how this happened" notes, I knock on wood. As we learn from these important posts, a lot of powerful forces are lined up to keep the trans train rolling. Things could easily get worse, not better. Our daughters and granddaughters could find themselves relegated to the subservient status of sex dolls, servants and surrogates that gender ideology associates with womanhood. Or a right wing backlash could land us back in "children, kitchen and church" territory. Call me cynical, but I'm afraid the arc doesn't necessarily bend towards justice for women.
