"The sad-trans sympathy merchants themselves are part-victim, part-perp."

The word you may be looking for is "crybully". someone who weaponizes their prized victim status to emotionally blackmail others.

This is such brilliant writing, cathartic and informative. ❤️

35:00 They do all seem to retcon their childhood. I've seen it many a time.

It is exceedingly odd for a group of men who wang on and on and on about their "authenticity", I must say.

Great piece, very well-written.

You are right, Sean Atkinson is a superb and courageous young person and journalist.

It is interesting. The Irish media, especially the Times portrays Lydia Foy as a good-natured, articulate 'ordinary Joe,' who just happened to be born in the wrong body. I was first introduced to him in Roisin Ingle's book many years ago. Most people don't know anything about the trans issue, (though I would argue that it is an unknown issue with no concrete evidence or facts, even to this day), so we just shrugged and said,'cool, why not?' His real personality and motives for 'changing' sex are not known.

The only trans voice I really respect is that of Debbie Hayton, who admits that is autogynaphilia, that he is really a man and indeed, that he made something of a mistake.

Entitled, autistic middle-aged autogynephile lets his paraphilia consume him. His career, his marriage, and his relationship with his children are destroyed. Then he is enabled and exploited by money-hungry lawyers in his mission to be recognized as legally female in any way he can. So stunning, so brave!

You don’t sound mean…and frankly people like this need somebody to stand up to them vs giving them everything they want.

It’s not actually kindness to support a person’s delusions that leads them to mutilate their body and destroy their whole life including their family relationships.

There is definitely a narcissism component here-sense of entitlement, Black and white Thinking etc

Great episode. It’s insane that these men are not just allowed to display their sexual fetish in public but also have been able to demand enforcement of others participating in their sexual fetish.

And idiotic reporters magazines etc who interview these men-revealing their naughty fetish is a PART of the pleasure for them and even hearing about it is participating in their disgusting fantasy

A great many people are apparently utterly incurious and all too willing to take some quite extraordinary phenomenons entirely at face value. This is especially the case in the so-called atheist and skeptic communities, which was something that left me rather gobsmacked, I have to say...

Men who have a paraphilic disorder should get treatment to understand it and to manage it so that it minimises the affect on them and on society, currently, with identity ideology the opposite is happening and everyone is harmed, including them, in my opinion paraphilias should be treated more like addictions. It's also interesting that many have autistic traits, it might help explain why once they have decided they are women it's very difficult to persuade them otherwise. Celebrating these men is so insulting, have pity and concern maybe, but they are not women by any stretch of the imagination

Marvelous, slangy, at times fiery rhetoric that seems to come easily. Admirable in these grammatically neutered, robotic days.

Good stuff, as always. Sean came with the commentary and Catherine came with the facts. I would dearly like to know whether Bill Shipsey (that name sounds so similar to something else) and the others who worked with Lydia were true believers or whether they all know that this is just a crock of bill shipsey.

You are right to say that things have come as far as they have because, over a decade into this madness, there is no clear, public understanding of autogynephilia. One has to research it for oneself because, for the most part, transactivists and their sympathizers have successfully kept it out of the media, safe in knowledge that the average person won't care enough to read up on it. All that sensitivity training at work and all those trans awareness programs at school have succeeded in making sure the Overton window never opens that far.

As if trans folk ever shut the fuck up about being trans, but suddenly it's a bovine birth that "they'll be outed" if not allowed to falsify their records.
