I keep asking this - I understand that soulless corporations are legally bound to create profits and damn the consequences, but why do ordinary people go along with what is clearly a eugenic atrocity of colossal scale, since every child on earth is a target for this experiment in mass medical de-sexing?

Hopefully one day the answer will become clear. Until then we can only theorise

First it was, 'be kind, they are an oppressed (or at least marginalised) group.' Then it became, 'all the trendy people are saying it, so I should, too.' Then it became, 'but if I say anything, I'll be accused of being a TERF and a bigot. Look what they've done to JKR.' And now, now we are in the place where fear rules, because almost everyone is (and ought to be) afraid of the raging men in lipstick who are demanding death to anyone who disagrees. This is also the time when courage calls to courage. The 'general public' is becoming aware ('no debate' has failed) and not having any of it. Now we will begin, but only just begin, the long slog back to reality.

Just remember what you were like before you peaked.

They are somewhere around there.

They look at the same things that we do, but they don’t see what we see. Just like we didn’t, before we peaked.

Why do people believe hokum like The Telepathy Tapes? On some level, in some sick or cowardly way, it flatters or benefits them. --- And fuck the victims.

This is a very nice piece of writing

The medical journals that kept publishing incorrect articles claiming medical intervention helped and was lifesaving and refused to published evidence based rebuttals pointing out the errors (see Mason and Sapirs op Ed in the WSJ, D'Angelo et Al, 2021). Anyone who cast the core disagreement as political, who characterized those who said there's huge danger and uncertainty as anti-science....the journals who backed these unsupported and/or false papers. The news agencies that refused to do corrections and kept pushing this all as political, too.

Also remember the health therapists who heard stories of regret and kept them secret because data protection laws forbid truth to be spoken in public

The breastfeeding groups that made their volunteer mothers pledge to support breastless women and biological men to "chestfeed". https://lucyleader.substack.com/

Betsy Warrior's avatar

Isn't cutting off one's breasts while going ahead and having a child you know will never have a chance to start on mother's milk - isn't that child abuse, or at least child neglect?

Tracy Hill's avatar

Such women were apparently so "dysphoric" that they couldn't possibly go on living with breasts yet we're perfectly happy to do the most basic thing a woman does which is to have a baby?? Clearly such people do not have dysphoria at all, it's gone beyond that into some perverse cultish fad.

Person's avatar

Sadly yes it is child abuse, so this leads to the logical decision to legislate for compulsory sterilisation following breast removals.

Really enjoyed this. Thank you. Fantastic piece and yes it is everybody. But not us Terfs #teamterf #cutnoquarter When this turns and it will, terfs names will reverberate through the future generations.

Without patting myself on the back ,I can honestly say that I knew without a shadow of doubt ,that gender ideology was misogynistic garbage as soon as I found out about it ( in 2018 ).That was before they started talking about " trans " kids and before the appallingly outrageous demands of the TRAs became widespread. I will NEVER understand how this malevolent ideology ever got accepted ,and supported ,by any normal person ,let alone be allowed to flourish and capture so many of our institutions here in the West !! The world lost its mind with the result that many children and young people are now irreversibly damaged for life. It's a scandal of gigantic proportions and there will never be enough prisons to house ALL those responsible ,including activists ,supporters ,medics ,politicians ,police ,and many MORE ! It makes my blood boil ,but thank God there are many people like Graham bravely fighting against this horrific agenda !! Thanks , Graham and Roisin.x

I was born in 1947 ,so I was well past the age to be fooled by unscientific nonsense !!

Hear hear Susan. I too felt worried about how things were going, and it was our dear Glinner that really opened my eyes. Great piece Roisin; so many many people - and a lot of that type have distanced themselves from me!

BINGO!

I agree 100%. These people are criminal.

Hmm, Drag Queens, i.e. female impersonators told us what we needed to know about men who liked prancing around in womanface for appreciative audiences. Their portrayals of women as stupid, venal, hypersexual, bleeders, breeders and b *tches told us everything about the coming tsunami that they popularized. Drag Queen Story Hour anyone??

Giulia55's avatar

I detested R Paul's drag race for it ghastly parody of women. It worried me. A taste of things to come, it looks tame now.

Steersman's avatar

They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Though many women may not appreciate the “humour” in it. But much of it seems “tinged” by bitterness, envy, and outright hate. Misogny in drag as Brendan O'Neill once put it:

As I put it in a comment on Graham Linehan's Substack -- who has recently linked to, touted, and cross-posted this post of yours:

"I'm reminded of a photograph taken in Germany just after the Second WW. It showed some allied troops forcing the German towns-people in places like Dachau and Buchenwald to march through the concentration camps there and see for themselves what had been done 'in their names'.

Same thing should apply to those people -- particularly so-called doctors, lawyers, politicians, philosophers, and biologists -- who have contributed in any way to the butchering, castration, and sterilization of autistic and dysphoric children. The lot should be strung up by their nuts and left to twist in the wind."

A powerful read.

We will look back on this and shake our heads with despair. People need to stand up and stop being cowardly. There is nothing more important than protecting our children. I work as a teacher and I will stand my ground as long as I can: https://twoplustwo.substack.com/p/leave-them-kids-alone-transgender

Line them up and make them walk past all the bewildered detransitioners who will never have children or a proper orgasm, and will likely suffer compounding medical issues into their middle and old age. Make them all look each one in the eye in turn, and say: ‘I helped do this to you.’

They’re not allowed to apologise, either. They don’t get to apologise.

The psychologists who told wives they need to "expand your sexual repertoire" to fulfill the suddenly crossdressing husband's fetish.

The teachers who told their students to make 2 Mother's Day presents, one for natal father, one for Mom.

The tech firms now scrubbing their "pronouns education webpages" as the tide turns.

The store clerks sucking up to men buying size man-figure lingerie, encouraging a fetish that objectifies and degrades all women.

The sticker companies producing LGBTQIA2S+++ stickers for entrances of stores.

The therapist who told trans widow #68 to "expand her sexual repertoire."

It's nice to imagine that they all have forebodings or even know what they are doing. I don't think so. When I look back at my own immediate, instantaneous rejection when told a) I was a cis-woman and b) sex was assigned at birth, I can see I had so much relevant knowledge coming from so many previous interactions and choices. There were no traps for unwary players that I could fall into. I knew too much about intersex - (a friend and examining a Phd on the topic), my own identity choice in my teens to be a Ms not a Miss or Mrs (nobody but nobody got to rename me) and as the nightmare widened out it seemed all my knowledge was relevant - from the biological basis of romantic love, to queer theory, to female cosmetic genital surgery, and my skepticism of surgeons based on one personal experience at age 19.

I have talked to trans allies who have never had any experience of reading medical research, or are not bi, or have no close gay friends, or who want to make up for mistakes they made in the past, or who hate intolerance, or have never learned about child development, or about anorexia and so on. They don't have the tools to analyse what they are being told. The day you can claim but everyone knew is many days, maybe many years, after you stopped talking and listening to the ordinary souls who believe in this.

What I am asking is when we stopped believing in debate and learning and argument that included things we don't want to hear - when did censorship become a credible response?
